Today is the feast of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, aka Edith Stein! Read about this extraordinary woman, who was born a Jew and became an atheist before joining the Church. She became a Carmelite and was eventually gassed by the Nazis. Her writings and thoughts were very influential on John Paul II and the concept of New Feminism.
