Reason #451 why I love my husband: he doesn't like makeup. He says I don't need to wear makeup, and I take him at his word. My mom said my dad said that when they were young, but she didn't believe him. I say why not! I'm not trying to impress anyone else! Therefore I have worn makeup literally 3 times in the past 3 years. My husband was not impressed any of those three times. The most recent one was at our wedding. Whenever we look at our wedding photos, all he can say is "You were wearing so much makeup."
I had an epiphany this morning. Maybe the reason he doesn't like me wearing makeup is actually because I'm not very good at putting it on! I'm not so good at achieving the natural look. Really, this is more my style (Brooke's on the left, I'm on the right):
