The basis of our equality

New Feminism asserts that men and women are equal and different. What is the basis for this?

God created man in his image; in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)

This single verse is so powerful! It reflects how all humans are equal in dignity and yet there are intentionally two types of humans: male and female. Both of them are created in the image of God. Both man and woman reflect the likeness of God. All humans do.

I thought I had a lot more to say about this, but really it's as simple as that. We're all equal, despite our differences, because we're all made in God's image.
