I just can't quite make myself write the last chapter of my dissertation. It needs to happen. I sit down to do it, though, and decide to read blogs instead. Or browse baby websites. Or do a million other things online. Even when I physically unplug the cable and move out of its reach, somehow the internet manages to claw me back again.
And so we're going to have to resort to drastic measures. My husband the scientist will be taking the internet modem with him to work for the rest of the week if I don't write enough today. Keep your fingers crossed that inspiration strikes and I get a lot of writing done. (And just in case that doesn't happen, I've scheduled a post to appear Wednesday.)
