Interpreting snowstorms

We were supposed to meet someone that we, well, didn't want to meet last Friday night. A snowstorm came in and dumped a foot of snow on the ground. Phew.

We were supposed to go somewhere tonight that we, well, didn't really want to go to. A snowstorm came in and it looks like we already have at least a foot, and it's still coming down hard. Phew.

My husband's taking it as a sign from God that we shouldn't be doing those two things. I'm thinking it's more like God's just doing us a favor, as we'll probably still end up doing those things, but we've been given a little bit more time to prepare.

We're not so self-centered to think that God would provide a blizzard just for us, but I don't like to underestimate the ways He can use natural events. Right now, we're just thankfully nestled up inside!

Have you had any weather-provided blessings lately?
