A changing table was one of those things my husband thought was a bit unnecessary. You can change a baby anywhere, right?
I was a bit more skeptical, and thought it might be nice to have a set spot to do diapers. But our apartment is only so big, and he was right that a changing table would take up a good amount of room. So I looked around and decided to get creative.
"What if we changed her on the dryer?" I finally asked. My husband declared it to be perfect.
How handy to already have the diapers by the washer!
And then, just when we had gotten used to the idea, his aunt called to offer us their old solid wood changing table. We gladly accepted and made some space in our bedroom. This really is the perfect changing table - we can put so much on the shelves underneath!
Unfortunately, someone else also decided the shelves underneath were perfect... for a place to hide and nap.

So much for spending all that time washing and folding baby clothes!
And on a side note, how cute are these tiny diapers? The only shopping I'm allowed to do today is to finish up putting together our initial diaper stash, and only because there are some really great deals! I got a 6 pack of small BumGenius for $78 (usually $93) (also here) and FuzziBunz for $11 each (usually $18).
We are officially ready to handle this baby's excrement!
